Parish Nurse - Jean Bolton
My nursing career has spanned 26 years, and I have certifications in Parish Nursing and Psychiatric-Mental Nursing. I also am a Licensed Professional Counselor. While most of my nursing experience has been in the field of mental health, I have also worked in labor and delivery, surgical intensive care, hospice and as a correctional nurse. I retired from the State of North Carolina in 2006 and have been the parish nurse at First Presbyterian since December of 2006.  My husband and I are blessed with 3 children and 5 grand children. In my spare time, I enjoy playing the piano, writing, stained glass, and lap swimming. A life time student of classical ballet, I also have some training in sacred/liturgical dance.

What is Parish Nursing?
